Digital File Preparation and Match Prints

Acceptable Digital File

Client provided digital image scans will be printed as received with minor color adjustments as needed. Additional image adjustments available at hourly rate of $55/hr.

We recommend saving your image in TIF format in RGB color mode. If sending in JPG format be sure and send it uncompressed for best image quality. To obtain the best possible results your original file should be in the 300 dpi range and resolutions lower than 200 dpi may loose sharpness and detail.

Printing Your Own Match Print

If after creating an acceptable digital file you decide to create a match print using an Epson printer be sure to use the printer's automatic settings and no color profiles. If you do use an Epson color profile then select the no color adjustment option in the custom/advanced window setting. By following either one of the above options you will avoid causing the color profiling to be skewed when match prints are compared to final output results. A match print is a guide but since we print using archival inks there may be a slight color variance in the final print. Due to slight variations between printers a match print will likely not be exact. We will endeavor to match as close as possible to the match print but due to variations in media, inks, and printers there is a likelihood of color shift.
