Large Format Scanning of Original Art or Image

We will do large format scans up to 44" wide with a 40" image size on the narrowest side and up to 84" in length. Our Contex scanner utilizes three cameras allowing seamless stitching between the cameras. It should be noted that not ALL colors can be reproduced by scanner cameras although they try to get as close as they are capable.  Particularly those colors that are fluorescent, neon, or metallic which are difficult to reproduce exactly.

Scanned images are then archived with us for future prints. Price includes minor corrections and retouching. Additional corrections or retouching at customer request will be billed at $55 per hour.

We will not perform a scan without prior authorization from the client. All client-approved services are the financial responsibility of the client. Refunds for scanning services are not an option.

Preparing Your Artwork For Scanning

When submitting your original artwork or image for large format scanning please make sure:

• Your paint is dry.
• It is unframed and unmatted.
• Pastel and charcoal originals need to have a fixative applied to protect the integrity of the work.
• Canvas artwork submitted without stretcher bars will achieve optimal results on our large format scanner.
• Canvas artwork submitted with stretcher bars will require a photographic transparency. The photographic transparency will then need to be scanned to obtain the digital image.

Additional charges will be incurred when submitting framed art work that requires dismantling. Art work that is painted on hard board or similar type backing please call for estimate.
