General Information and Policies
Our Policy: Your satisfaction is our goal. If
you are not completely satisfied give us a call to discuss
possible solutions.
Pricing of Products and Services: Up front
pricing and services. We will not perform any service without
authorization from the client. Pricing will be established
ahead of time whenever possible. All client-approved services are the financial responsibility of the client. All prices are subject to change without advance notice.
Please note: We are a printing studio only and do not do framing or stretching. Please see our "Links" for a framing service.
Payment: Orders must be paid in full at the time of pickup or prior to shipping. We accept cash, checks from established accounts, and MasterCard and Visa via the "Pay Now" option at the top of this website. A late fee of 2% per month will be applied to any past due balances. A $25 fee is applied to all returned checks.
Our Inks: Art Resource Technology uses Epson Ultrachrome K3® and archival ink technology. We strongly recommend canvas and watercolor prints be treated with UV resistant coatings to resist fading. All of our canvas and watercolor prints have this included at no extra fee.
Care of your giclee prints:
Never display in direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Never expose to extreme temperatures.
Never rub the painting
Never use water, cleaning solvents or chemicals on either side of the paper.
Limit of Liability: Art
Resource Technology strives to ensure it's reputation in the proper care of your artwork, prints, disks, or other materials. Submitting these materials to us constitutes an agreement by you that any damages or loss by our business will only entitle you to a replacement of the raw materials only. It is your responsibility to insure your work for the full value any time they leave your possession. Should any compensation be
granted, it will be at the sole discretion of Art Resource Technology only. We will not assume any shipment liability for lost orders shipped to and from us. We can not be responsible for artwork, digital files, prints, transparencies, and other materials left unclaimed for more 30 days after order completion.
Turnaround Time: Scanning and printing is a craft that entails time to develop a quality output for matching as close as practical to the original artwork. Once scanned, the proofing process could take up to 5-10 days depending on peak times. Once color approval by client is received it could take up to 7-10 days to complete your prints.
Rush Service: If you need your order rushed we will make every effort to expedite it. Reluctantly we will need to charge an additional fee for this due to the impact on our current workload. Please note that not all jobs can be considered for rush service due to their complexity.
Rush Service Fees:
- 50% Rush Charge - 48 Hours
- 100% Rush Charge - 24 Hours
- 200% Rush Charge - SAME DAY
Acceptance of Original Artwork: We will not be responsible for paintings brought in wet due to the possibility of damage to our equipment and your painting. Please allow your paintings sufficient drying time before bringing them in for processing.
Please UNFRAME your original artwork prior to having it scanned. An additional charge may be incurred when submitting framed art work that requires dismantling. We are not responsible for any damage to artwork or framing should we be expected to remove it.
Print Refund Policy: All prints accepted and purchased by client are non-refundable.
We will reprint without charge an order due to error on our part. Orders will not be refunded or reprinted under the following circumstances:
- When you request that we "use our best judgment" for print quality.
- When proof print was not requested prior to printing.
- When the original artwork was not furnished as a guide for matching.
- When your instructions were followed, approved, and output is not what you expected.
- When incorrect dimensions are provided.
Scanning Refund Policy: We will not perform a scan without prior authorization from the client. All client-approved services are the financial responsibility of the client. Refunds for scanning services are not an option.
Copyright Laws: The artist/client certifies that the
work being submitted does not violate or infringe upon the copyrights,
ownership, or rights of any other person or entity. Any orders containing copyrighted material will need to be accompanied by a signed authorization from the copyright holder and the customer. Art
Resource Technology will not be held liable for any violations
or infringements of copyright, ownership, or the rights of
others, and the artist/client agrees to promptly reimburse
Art Resource Technology for any expenses it incurs as a result
of having to defend itself against any claim, suit, or loss
that arises as a result thereof.
